AGMC Motorrad riders represent Dubai
Dubai, UAE: AGMC BMW Motorrad riders Jorge Orlando and Martin Victor will represent Dubai as part of the Middle East Team at next year’s GS Trophy 2020 in New Zealand after seeing off competition from some of the Middle East’s best off-road and endurance bikers.
Orlando and Victor were part of an eight-man AGMC Motorrad team that participated in the GS Trophy 2020 Qualifier – Middle East, held in the rugged Mzaar region of Lebanon.
After two days of intensive riding over challenging terrain, Orlando and Victor secured their position as members of Team Middle East thanks to a series of consistently impressive performances on two wheels.
As members of Team Middle East, both men will travel to New Zealand next year to compete against 19 BMW Motorrad teams from across the globe in the GS Trophy 2020.
The qualifying round saw riders, and their BMW Motorrad bikes, put through their paces on a specially created circuit that followed a testing route through the Lebanese mountains close to Zaarour Club and Resort.
As official importer of BMW Group vehicles for Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, AGMC is chief sponsor and backer of the AGMC BMW Motorrad team. Prior to arriving in Lebanon, members of the AGMC BMW Motorrad team met with officials from AGMC who wished them well in the qualifying competition and arranged for a fleet of BMW 7 Series vehicles to transport the riders to Dubai International Airport. The company provided all five riders which qualified at the GS Trophy pre-qualifier with air tickets, hotel accommodation at the Zaarour Club and Resort, and all other associated fees to help them compete in the GS Trophy 2020 Qualifier – Middle East event.
